Conservación a la Red de Parques en la Patagonia

Hace días atrás se firmó el decreto que crea la Red de Parques más grande de la Patagonia, 4.5 millones de hectáreas para protección y conservación de la biodiversidad: más de 900 mil fiscales y más de 400 mil donadas al fisco por el empresario y ecologista estadounidense Douglas Tompkins.

Esta gran noticia que crea tres parques nacionales y ampliación de otros dos cuenta con ocho unidades que contempla las regiones de Los Lagos, Aysén y Magallanes. De norte a sur: Hornopirén, Pumalín, Corcovado, Melimoyu, Isla Magdalena, Cerro Castillo, Patagonia y Alacalufes.

Esta combinación entre la donación de la fundación ‘Tompkins Conservation’ más los terrenos fiscales han convertido la Red de Parques Nacionales más grande de nuestro país. Estamos hablando de una superficie total de más de 880 mil hectáreas las que prometen ser el futuro chic de la Patagonia de Chile y una de las entradas más significativas para nuestra economía.

No obstante el tema no ha pasado desapercibido por quienes creen que esto no le va a traer beneficios a mediano plazo a sus  habitantes y porque es un decreto que funcionará para quienes sepan captar este nuevo concepto de mirar el turismo como una experiencia más que como un servicio.
